Gersten & Gersten, LLP: A Law Firm Serving Clients Throughout Connecticut For More Than 70 Years.
In the 1940s, brothers Maurice, Charles, Aaron, and Harold Gersten founded their law firm in a brick building on Pearl Street in downtown Hartford. They gained a statewide reputation representing clients in the Connecticut State and Federal Courts and were active in many Hartford area organizations.
Today, the Gersten & Gersten, LLP Law Office has evolved into a leading divorce and family law practice in the West Hartford Area. While much has changed over the decades, one thing has remained remarkably consistent: a commitment to giving you the one-on-one personal service you want and need when going through a difficult time.
Karen was born right here in Hartford, Connecticut. Her parents, both attorneys, and many relatives remain part of the local legal community. It was almost inevitable that Karen would be drawn to the profession of helping people navigate difficult legal and emotional situations.
After graduating from Clark University with a psychology degree in 1987 and Boston’s Suffolk University Law School in 1990 she went into the ‘family business’ with a specialty in matrimonial and family law. Over the past 30 years, Karen has become widely known and sought out for her expertise in Connecticut family law.
Karen is a member of the Hartford County and Connecticut Bar Associations and, notably, was appointed as a Special Master to help resolve disputes in ongoing cases in the family court system. Only attorneys who are highly experienced in Connecticut divorce law are appointed as Special Masters.
Your initial consultation will be with Karen, not a legal assistant, and you will soon see for yourself why she maintains a coveted 5-Star rating on Avvo, a site that millions use to find lawyers and rate their services. See some of Karen’s client ratings here.
